HOW DOES MKII WORK?
A water distiller first boils the water. This kills viruses and bacteria and separates contaminants. The water vapour then passes into a pipeline made of stainless steel, where it is cooled and turned back into water. This produces pure water. This water then passes through an activated carbon filter, ultimately removing any traces of impurities and odours.

Distilled water is the purest, as it contains no additives or impurities. Distillation is the most practical of the water purification methods, reliably removes all types of impurities, is easy to monitor and carry out without the use of clogging agents, and distillers require minimal maintenance. Distilled water was highly valued by the health adepts Polly Bregas because of its salt-free nature.

VERY EASY TO USE
The water distiller produces 2.8 litres of absolutely pure water in 3.5-4 hours. All you need to do is fill, turn on and run. The water drops into a glass container which can be stored in the fridge. Automatically switches off – no need to worry about overheating.

HOW LONG IS THE DISTILLATION PROCESS
Depending on the temperature of the water supply, the distillation process may not take the same amount of time. If the water is very cold, the process can take as much as 30% longer than at normal room temperature. For example, if the water temperature is 22 degrees (room temperature), it takes on average 3 to 3.5 hours for the appliance to distil the entire volume of water. If the temperature is around 8 degrees, it will take about 4 hours, and so on.

If the water reservoir is filled above the maximum filling limit, the appliance has to evaporate more water than usual, which makes the process take longer.

As the operating power for boiling water is 350-850 W, if the user’s home power is low, the machine will automatically switch to low power to save electricity, which may also result in different distillation times.

WHAT IS THE COST AND COST OF ELECTRICITY
How to calculate the cost of distilling 2.8 litres of water
The distiller consumes 580 W of electricity per hour
If the distillation process takes 3 hours, calculate

580 W x 3 h = ~1.75 kWh

We take the price per kWh for a standard consumer,
without taking into account day, night and weekend tariffs etc.
(those who pay a different price can adjust their tariff)

1 kWh price = 0.13 EUR

1.75 x 0.13 = ~ 0.23 EUR

So we have calculated the cost of 2.8 litres of distilled water,
for a distillation process of 3 hours.
You can calculate the cost of an individual process accordingly.

ABOUT DISTILLED WATER
Have you ever tasted completely pure water? Tap water contains contaminants. Even bottled and filtered water contains impurities. And the problem is that if you don’t filter the water before you drink it, your body becomes the filter. The only guaranteed way to get absolutely clean water is distillation. Distilled water is 99.8% pure. When you use distilled water, you are using water that is cleaner than any other bottled or tap water, and cleaner than water that has been treated by any other filtration or purification process.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM BOTTLED WATER?
You’d be surprised how many contaminants are in bottled water, and how expensive it is. Bottled water is often more expensive than petrol.

WATER DISTILLATION COMPARED TO OTHER WATER TREATMENT METHODS?
The two other most common forms of filtration are activated carbon filters and reverse osmosis. Of these, reverse osmosis is the more advanced. Our tests show that distillation is more efficient than carbon filtration or reverse osmosis.

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FILTERS (PACKAGES)
Activated charcoal components: natural coconut husk.
Functions: eliminates odours and improves taste.
Shelf life: Activated charcoal packs need to be replaced every 25-35 days.
Do not put unused, unused or currently used activated carbon packs in the refrigerator, where they can absorb odours and therefore give a bad taste to the water.
New activated carbon packs may give off a small amount of black powder, which is completely harmless to human body. It is simply powdered charcoal, ii it is safe.
Sealed activated charcoal sachets should be kept in a cool place.
When you buy a new distiller, you will find a pack of 6 activated charcoal sachets in the packaging, or additional sachets are available here:

CLEANING THE DISTILLER
For the proper functioning of the distiller’s heating system, it is recommended that the boiling tank be cleaned of limescale and other deposits once a month (or more often depending on the frequency of use). Acid-based cleaners (usually lemon) are used for cleaning.

One pack of cleaner is included with the purchase of the distiller, after which you can buy more here:
