Filtration medium for demineralising water, Purolite MB400.
Purolite MB400 is a ready-to-use ion exchange media mixture for the production of demineralised, high chemical purity water.
PUROLITE MB400 is obtained by thoroughly mixing two ion-exchange resins: a strongly acidic cation exchange resin and a strongly alkaline anion exchange resin.
Purolite MB400 allows for the production of strongly demineralised water. Best results are achieved if used as a final purification step, for example after a reverse osmosis system.

Moisture ~ 60%
Recommended operating conditions:
Maximum operating temperature: 60°C
Minimum average height: 700 mm
Recommended flow rate during operation:
Raw water: 10 – 20 MV * / hour
Partially demineralised water: 20 – 40 MV * / hour
* MV (volume of medium) = 1 m3 of solution per m3 of resin
USE
The following formula gives an approximate volume of treated water:
MV = 500 / TDS *
* TDS – total dissolved solids
MV (media volume) – the amount of water containing TDS in mg/l that can be demineralised with one litre of solution. For this reason, it is recommended to treat the water by reverse osmosis prior to demineralisation, which considerably prolongs the longevity of the medium.
